Affordable Housing Ordinance Open House

  • Fire Station 3 1705 Vaquero Parkway Bozeman, MT, 59718 United States (map)

The city of Bozeman is seeking public feedback on the Affordable Housing Ordinance! Attend the open house on Thursday, Nov. 21 from 4-7pm at Fire Station 3, 1705 Vaquero Pkwy, OR complete the online survey at engagebozeman.net/aho.

The AHO incentivizes local builders to develop affordable homes in exchange for bonuses like added building height. Incentive programs are a common way for cities and towns all across the U.S. to create more affordable homes as well as more market rate homes, which helps to stabilize home prices writ large. Incentives are also one of the few tools we have available to create affordable homes after the state legislature outlawed many other common affordable housing policies. Since the current AHO was put in place just two years ago, 387 affordable homes were built, and over 1,000 affordable homes are in the pipeline!

Bozeman city government wants to hear from you as they consider revisions to the AHO. Let them know that incentivizing affordable homes should continue to be a priority!
